Shorewest’s Fall Decorating Tips for your Home’s Exterior Posted on October 15, 2013 by socialmedia by At Shorewest, we’re ready to celebrate autumn by decorating our homes for the season. We looked through all that popular home decor sites HGTV and Better Homes and Gardens had to offer and have compiled some of the best ideas below. We want to hear from you — what are you using to decorate your home for Fall? Hang vibrant fall pants such as mums in a seasonal color to brighten your front porch. For a new spin on pumpkin decor, create a stacked topiary using an outdoor urn. Use various sizes and colors of heirloom pumpkins to make a lasting impression on any visitors. Create a hanging gourd vase by drilling a one-to-two inch hole in a gourd, and fill with seasonal foliage and flowers. Don’t let your backyard be forgotten! Using an urn or outdoor planter, assemble a vertical fall display centered around corn stalks. Include squash, gourds, pumpkins and flowers to complete your backyard focal point. Welcome visitors with a spin on a traditional wreath using wheat stalks. Attach them to a foam wreath base that can be purchased at any craft store. Use your window boxes year round with this creative display. Include mosses and other grasses to fill out the box — they’re not just for spring!
